granddad stories?

Yep a Guy stopped me in the parking lot and asked me How I liked the International motor.

"International ??" I said ... .

"yeah the one in your International Dodge Cummins. " He replied.

SOoooo I went with it and said "Yeah I like it ... a little too loud and too much power for me 'cause I don't use all of the trucks potential, but it gets looks. Really smooth on the Highway and plenty of passing power loaded or not. It's my first Big cab style truck and I am clueless as to why I never got one years ago. Stylewise ... . I love this thing!"

"Yep I starred at you the whole way into the lot ... . Man it sounds like a Freight train" He chuckled out.

"Hey thanks ... you made my day! Gotta run before lunch is over , But stop by a dodge dealer and ask 'em if you can drive a ram with the International" I said backing away twards the entrance to the store.

"Sure will , I wanted one of theese trucks ever scince my brother got a Ford ..... But I am a Mopar guy. Well I'll let ya go ... . Thanks for youre time. " And he saunters off to his Rackbody Toyota.

Hope he gets a good deal on one ... ... ..... With a 'national that is :D :D

Some people:rolleyes:

I had a friend that liked the way Fords looked and wanted to get one. I drive her to the Ford dealer and a salesmans right there before I get parked. She tells him what she is looking for and they go looking. While they were out on a test run, I was looking over a F-450. Someones walkes up behind me and says " if you want your two missing cyl. I should buy the Ford. I turn and see another salesman. I said, "what?" He goes off and tells me that Ford owns Cummins and that they had to take the front two cyl. off so Ford will let Dodge have them. I am looking at him saying to myself WTF. I tell him that it is a I-6 and he is telling me no one makes I-6 diesels. I walk away right then shakeing my head.

I see him walking up again, so I opened my hood checking the oil. Really only wanted him to see I had a I-6. He looks at the engine and looks:confused: Then he tells me that I had to have put another motor in there. I did not say a thing.

BTW Tammy came back and asked if my truck was lighter? I said no I have a 3500 4x4 quad cab and she was looking at a F250 4x2. She ended up buying a VW Jetta TDI. I picked it out for her and her husband.

Nice story but...

Here's a guy that has an International Cummins:

I guess in Wyo. people know there trucks a bit better. There is one registered pickup for every two licensed drivers in the state. nobody has confused what's under my hood except my bro-in-law who's a phord guy and tried to rub it in my face that phord owned cummins when I bought it. I have since set him straight.

I would have popped the hood right then and there. Show the guy that it was a I-6. Correct me if I'm wrong but does the window sticker state I-6 or juts 5. 9L? Mines out in my truck and I don't feel like going to see since its 3AM and decently chilly outside.

Ya gotta love that, I get people all the time, they come up to me, my truck bangin' away and ask, " 'ya got the CumminGs in there?"

I reply, "nope, gotta CUMMINS", they say it like I had engine options when I bought the truck.

"Freinds" of mine still say "Cummings" in a conversation around me, even though I repeatedly tell them "Show me a G in the name" WTF, goes ta show ya the kind of yo yo's I hang around with.

Sounds like the guys heart was in the right place. Maybe his brain will catch up. But, who knows maybe your truck sounds like a Ford :D Sorry that comment was below the belt
