I can't even begin to remember everyones results, we was not prepared for the turnout we had.

My results was no different then they was before 417/ 928

Lets hear everyone elses?

Thanks guys for letting me cut in ahead so that I could get my girl home. Man I wish I could have stayed for the whole thing.

Well I will let this thread develope now

ADam

When I left I think Don Morrison had 509hp unsure of tq

Roger rodbolt still had to dyno on another set of injectors and Katdiesel had not gone yet.

Huffed at turbo I think it sucked some stuff into the motor its missing really bad and filled the muffler with oil not bad for 2K on the ODO! Oh well took my 26K and 300 1/4 mile passes to break the ford and the GMC broke in 600FT! left some nice black marks though! Oh well gotta give you all something to talk about!

Greg

I had another uneventful day.

I only have 447hp ;) Oh well.

First time I ever seen that much smoke from the truck, I'll give up on the dyno world and stick to the track for performance measures, although I might venture down to the Mustang dyno here in town see if I can get any traction. One interesting note... . Don M made 509... I made 447 ... we both had 880 ft lbs LOL. I just got home and a wee bit tired. I also dynoed 447 on that dyno back when I had DDIII's and PDR HX35 on the truck many moons ago. And I garentee to you its got more power now then it did back then. Only track time I have thats recent with the Kwikspool Turbo is 8. 40 @ 80. 06 in the 1/8th mile. Truck weighs 6480 with me and 1/4 tank of fuel, when I ran that time I had 3/4 of a tank, do the match ;)

Had a GREAT time guy's & girls!!!! Glad to finally meet some of you. Joe and little John, the Hot Wings were fantastic, but finally had to take a rolaid break at Salina. Hope I can make the next one, maybe by then I can blow a little smoke to. :) Floor it, e-mail me.

Larry

Hey John.....

Your cousin say anything else bout his trip down the darkside after I left? ... . he was grinning pretty good when we got back.

I survived the drive home.

High numbers for the day:Larry Crawford

535HP 1140FT LB torque - #2 only:--)

Don't quote me exactly, but the numbers are close.

It was great to meet everyone, and great wings.

Oh man, I forgot, sorry to hear about your truck Greg :( . Let's see, first a ford, now your chevy, ya ever think of gettin' a Dodge? Just a thought. ;)

Later, Rob

Greg again truely sorry to see that happen to your truck.

Please make sure to post when something is done about it at the dealer, just curious as to how smoothly it will go for you?

Thanks for setting this up many moons ago and inviting us down. I spread the word best I could ;)

dyno days

well, let me say that we had a great time. We had the best turn out that we every had. As some of you know Little John and I have a horse power thing going on and at 6:30 I got on the dyno Little John went 299 and I went 305 Man that made my day little John said that 6 horse power was not worth $500. 00 but he has not had time to think about it.

Again thank to all that showed up we had a great time.

Later Joe.

Larry,

So how did the injector testing go?

Unless he stayed later then I imagined he would he only tested two sets? It was already 6pm when I took off to head home and there were at least 4 Dodges and 1 Chevy left (3 showed up) to dyno.

I'm curious as to which of the other two sets he had to test did the 534? I leave it upto him to say what he wants about which sets did what.

I've come to the conclusion with my setup its not dyno friendly on the 248c with the smaller rollers.

Larry -

I never got your PM reply I had already left for work when you sent it :) However thanks for the gesture, and I should have found you earlier myself... . but being up for 30 hours does that to ya. I'll send ya another PM.

Good folks, great dyno, one exception

I really feel bad for Greg, especially since he worked so hard and put on a great dyno day, then his truck took a dump... ... . :( :(. Thanks Greg, Adam and all that helped for your hard work!

The Cummins were out in force with a good number of Powerstrokes and maybe three Duramaxes. The Fords dynoed first (5 or 6?) and I believe the high horsepower was 333, put down by a great looking red truck, licence plate "2Fast4U" and rear window decal:

Eatin' Chevys and "discharging Dodges" or something to that affect... ... ... ... .

I got to dyno first with my experimental injectors won the smoke contest(I was the judge):-laf :-laf but made a measly 385hp. Out to the parking lot to change injectors. The next truck to dyno, was equipped with full electronic's, HX 40 and DD II's laid down 420+ horsepower and then a few 2003's dynoed in the 250hp range. The talk was that the dyno guys knew what they were doing and the numbers were very consistant, maybe a little lower then some dynos but in the ballpark. I put in my Bully Dog 8's and was not very confident in making decent numbers (my first experience with a Dynojet) but I give credit to Don M. !! Don said the '8s would bring the numbers back up... ... I doubted him but was pleased when I redynoed with a 533hp followed by a 534. 4 @ 1155. 7ft lbs. I am pleased, not so much with the peak number (after numbers are just #'s), but that the sheet showed I went above 500hp. at 2250rpm and stayed above 500hp 'til 3150rpm. Torque wasn't quite as flat. It stayed above 900ft lbs 'til 3000+rpm. This is the flat powerband that I have been tuning for and seeking for sled pulling. BTW, kudo's to Piers camshaft for fatting up the top end while still pulling down low :D :D. The cam is just one piece of the puzzle but I love it ;).

Sorry for the long post but congrats to a new TDR member and bomber from my hometown, Tony who posts as "thaile". His newly installed Piers HX 40 netted him 440hp and about 1000ft lbs on his '96 undervalved wonder. Don M truck is awesome and I'd guess that his 509# is low due to his HUGE :--) turbo and the light loading of the DynoJet. I just made 43. 5lbs of boost with the experimental injectors and only 45. 5 max with the Bully Dogs. Larry

Rob,

Thanks for the congrats, looks like a no go for Jessup. My wife has a son in the Air Force in GA and would like for me to go so she can visit. Are you or any of the outstate TDR guys going?? Do you know if there is a street diesel class? My little truck isn't ready to tangle with Dave Mitchell or Scheids..... :{ . Larry
