Good folks, great dyno, one exception
I really feel bad for Greg, especially since he worked so hard and put on a great dyno day, then his truck took a dump... ... .

. Thanks Greg, Adam and all that helped for your hard work!
The Cummins were out in force with a good number of Powerstrokes and maybe three Duramaxes. The Fords dynoed first (5 or 6?) and I believe the high horsepower was 333, put down by a great looking red truck, licence plate "2Fast4U" and rear window decal:
Eatin' Chevys and "discharging Dodges" or something to that affect... ... ... ... .
I got to dyno first with my experimental injectors won the smoke contest(I was the judge):-laf :-laf but made a measly 385hp. Out to the parking lot to change injectors. The next truck to dyno, was equipped with full electronic's, HX 40 and DD II's laid down 420+ horsepower and then a few 2003's dynoed in the 250hp range. The talk was that the dyno guys knew what they were doing and the numbers were very consistant, maybe a little lower then some dynos but in the ballpark. I put in my Bully Dog 8's and was not very confident in making decent numbers (my first experience with a Dynojet) but I give credit to Don M. !! Don said the '8s would bring the numbers back up... ... I doubted him but was pleased when I redynoed with a 533hp followed by a 534. 4 @ 1155. 7ft lbs. I am pleased, not so much with the peak number (after numbers are just #'s), but that the sheet showed I went above 500hp. at 2250rpm and stayed above 500hp 'til 3150rpm. Torque wasn't quite as flat. It stayed above 900ft lbs 'til 3000+rpm. This is the flat powerband that I have been tuning for and seeking for sled pulling. BTW, kudo's to Piers camshaft for fatting up the top end while still pulling down low

. The cam is just one piece of the puzzle but I love it

.
Sorry for the long post but congrats to a new TDR member and bomber from my hometown, Tony who posts as "thaile". His newly installed Piers HX 40 netted him 440hp and about 1000ft lbs on his '96 undervalved wonder. Don M truck is awesome and I'd guess that his 509# is low due to his HUGE :--) turbo and the light loading of the DynoJet. I just made 43. 5lbs of boost with the experimental injectors and only 45. 5 max with the Bully Dogs. Larry
