Help! Cat C12 misfires

I had asked anyone to let me know of any 06 3500 srw 4x2 trucks ( holdovers) , and only got one response about one in Calif. and someone else was going to scarf that one up. Can't even get a 4x2 in N. D. off of a lot. Called Dave Smith Motors and was told that they" the biggest dealers in the US", do not even order any for their inventory. Have a cousin in Billings that wanted to rent one from a dealer there, and couldn't.

I bet they(DC) would sell a whole lot more than they think they would, if they would just put some out there to be had. I had to order mine in 04.

Why a 2wd in snow country anyways? Doesn't work well here.

During the worst times I do not take it out of the yard. 98% of its travel I am on dry or plowed roads. For the other 2% i use Triple A ins. , for the pickles I manage to get into, it is cheaper than 4x4. And, I put on about 50,000 miles or more a year, and I do not have to drag all that extra weight around. Not to mention the extra mechanical maintenance required to maintain the front differential, transfer case, drive shaft, etc. ect. If I really get in a bind, I can still use the 99 in my sig. although I gave it to my youngest son. :D

I have a two wheel drive Dodge 2500 and have no need for a 4 by 4.

I live in the North and always had a two wheel drive. I like working out of the bed. A LOT less trouble amd repair cost. Maybe if I had one I would like it. But for now I will make do with a two drive. :D

Check the Houston dealers. They're pretty common down here. I understand that DC has thousands of unsold 2006 trucks sitting in their (not the dealer's) inventory.

Thanks RustyJC, I will try to check it out. I try to get on Dodge sales sites, and they always ask for a zip code, and then I only get local dealers. And they never have any 4x2s here. Could you give me a zip code for a city near you that would have a chance of haveing some in their inventory? Otherwise, I suppose that DC will not even deal with the general public. Or do you know how to check with them? Thanks again. :)

Try 77041. That should get you northwest Houston, Tomball, Katy, Jersey Village, etc.
