Toyota New BIG Diesel in 09

Funny license plate pictures - just got my new one...

I was at the pump today filling up and got a chuckle out of this for some reson... Only in a dream would diesel cost this much. ;)

well, one day i was filling up at the local bp station and i noticed it only was about 15 bucks to fill my tank. needless to say they accidentally made diesel 1. 22 a gallon instead of 2. 22. so i hopped into my truck and got every damn fuel container and diesel truck i could find. by the end, i pumped about 150 gallons of $1. 22 diesel. then i went and told the lil teenager at the counter that the diesel was priced wrong. the owner came out swearing at the kid, it was hilarious.

Haven't got that lucky with deisel, but cleaned out a snack machine a few years back with ten cents. It would credit the dime when I dropped it in, but it would return. So I used that dime over and over till the machine was empty and I was in HO HO heaven! :D

i did that to one soda machine once. . it took my money and gave me my soda, then i hit the coin return button and it gave me full change. . so i emptied it out as best as i could. .

when my family use to go down to florida every christmas break, we'd bring rolls of canadian quarters. . the parking machines liked them real good. . i also had some steel slugs that were quarter sized. they worked good too ;) newer parking meters don't like the slugs or canadian coins. .

Last year at the Meijer station here in town the pump was charging about . 11 a gallon. Some guy went in there after filling up, he paid and on the way out the door the said thanks for the free fuel! They took down his plate, called the police and he was arrested for retail theft. Made the paper and everything. Needless to say when I was there I kept my mouth shut. Heck, you think they would of figured it out when the guy before me was filling up a 55 gallon drum.

only one drum :-laf i would of gone on a mission to empty their underground tank at that price :D

retail theift? what the heck kinda farking law is that?

how is that theft? that's the price they had on it... the customer didn't change the price...

I bought a 6pack recently that rang up for $1. 61 :)

I've had boxes of items ring up at a unit pack price... I usually stock up ;)

I was at a WalMart in St. Paul, MN and had a pair of Dickies jeans ring up for just shy of $5. I bought a few more pair :D

Not as large scale as some of you thiefs :-laf , but I've been buying the new Rotella at a local Pep Boys for $8. 49 / gallon, supposed to be $10. 99/ gallon. Speaking of which, think I'll go over there now and see if they restocked yet! :D

Exactly! How can it be? A previous poster stated that one guy got arrested for the gas station setting the wrong price. That right there should be enough retardedness that the guy who got arrested should sue the gas station and the local polics for a bunch of change.

I just love it how so many folks anymore are not responsible for their own actions or the fact they try and pass it off on someone other than the responsible party. Thats what is wrong with America today. The dingleberry who priced that pump is the one the gas station should be complaining to, not the patron who paid the advertised price.

That also reminds me of another time I bought a set of tires for my old truck(pre-CTD) I was getting some 33-12. 50R15's for my Ranger. I think the price was about 125-150 apiece and they rang up at the register as 215-75R15s for about 50 bucks a tire, needless to say I paid and left quickly!

I was at Home Depot for work one day. I bought two microwaves, a ladder, a bunch of other stuff, and a Milwaukee Hammer Drill. I had to request a property tag for the drill. When I looked at the receipt, I couldn't find the drill or one of the microwaves. Since I had to have the receipt for the drill, I went back and (GULP) told them I needed to pay. I could have got another drill and micro, paid for those, and taken the other one home, but I figured karma would get me and snap my wrist the first time that badboy hung up on something! :-laf

That being said, if I saw diesel for cheap, I'm there! I don't know how many times I've seen it high, then drop . 10 or more and I wonder if someone programmed it too high.

AMink, I hear ya on that. Sprained my wrist before drilling stuff when the bit gets hung up, no sense tempting fate.....

For the past 5 years our office has been paying $1600/year for an $1900/year service from a 3rd party vendor.

Apparently 5 years ago they change something, and the bone head cut and pasted and changed some text on the invoice and and did fix math formula or something. .

I didn't even catch this when I saw the invoice either.

Well, I get this bright idea that we need to change things a bit to be more tailored to what I need now.

So we changed it around and the accounting person calls me up, explains that they screwed up 5 years ago and you were getting $300 off the total price.

ohh well :)

I am all for a good deal, but doesn't the honesty cut both ways? I bet that most of you would b**** and moan like mad if some store overcharged you for something and you caught it. If it is an obvious error like $0. 11 cent fuel, then the honest thing to do is report it, not fill up a tanker. Honesty is honesty, doesn't matter whose favor it is in.
