Just got back from a trip from up here in the mountains to the Calif. coast and back.
The EGT's at 67 mph hauling the stuff in the signature at 18,000 GCW went from 1000* at 10 psi boost cruising up in the higher elevations, to 700* and 8 psi boost at sea level.
I have my EZ (with boost elbow) set on level 2 to cut down on the smoke up here at the higher elevations, but it still smokes pretty good. I noticed that from Truckee down to the coast it didn't smoke at all while at WOT on that same setting.
Could only make 22 psi boost in higher elevations, but got up to 29 psi on the coast.
Truck ran and pulled great thruout the whole trip- just goes to show how well the Cummins compensates to produce power at varying conditions.
