Tomorrow, Dec. 15th, there will be wreaths placed on the graves of thousands of U.S. military veterans. The time is 12:00 Eastern so here in central TX the ceremonies will take place at 11:00. The location is approximately 1400 cemeteries coast to coast. If you have the inclination to attend all you need to do is enter your zip code https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/search?searchType=location
I can't speak for other organizations, but in our case any assistance is appreciated. Our group of about 15 has over 200 wreaths to place, and I'm sure other groups are in the same situation.

My 13 year old daughter and I volunteered this morning along with my brother-in-law, a Coast Guard Veteran and an officer in the Patriot Guard Riders, and my 12 year old nephew at Calverton National Cemetery here on eastern Long Island, NY.

This the second year in a row that I have participated. The outpouring of support and the sheer number of volunteers and number of diverse organizations participating is amazing to see. From what I understand, 86,000 wreaths were placed in just under two hours.

After a week of lousy weather it was sunny for the ceremony this morning. Unknown to me a Girl Scout troop was also there with 75 additional wreaths. The group I belong to is a bass fishing club. As you said, truly a coming together of diverse organizations.

Unfortunately, we had a dreary, rainy day here in NY, but we made the best of it...Here are a few pictures from our experience...
