I found a puddle that was actually A LOT deeper than it looked. I almsot ripped off the lower air dam off the bumper. :--) After parking it had hitting the alarm switch a honda sized beep came out of the horn. After popping the hood I found a wire harness that has been severed off of something and was rubbing on the fan blades between the fan and the block. I turned it in for service and they said it wsa the cluch fan harness. The bad news is that the whole country is on backorder for this part. So the took it off a rig in the lot to get me fixed.

Now back to the horn. I have looked but i can't find where they are. I'm so embarrassed by the winpy horn that I refuse to use it

can some one tell me where they are so i can drain the water or unpack the mud or what ever its going to take to get them working again?

On the way back I stopped in the middle of the puddle and looked. If I hadn't knocked all the water out the first time I wouldn't have been able to see my wheel wells Oo.

I'm not sure where the horns are on a 3rd Gen, but they're down in front somewhere. I didn't like the wimpy sounding horn I had on my 2nd Gen, so I put in a "Caddy-Blaster". I just went to the local junkyard and pulled a 3-note horn set out of a 70's or early 80's Cadillac. Those things are pretty loud. I just wired in a new relay, removed the old horns and mounted the new ones down around the bumper. Now when people pull out in front of me they pay a price! :)

The two horns are located on the left side of the engine compartment below the Integrated Power Module (IPM). I am not sure you can see them from above, you can see them looking straight up from under the front drivers side behind the head lights area.

I have an aftermarket horn that I am going to replace them with when I get a chance, the little toyota truck across the street sounds twice as loud as mine.
