2005 Road King-Buy It Now for $6,000!

For you guys with the train horns in you rigs...

I got tired of getting those stupid credit card and insurance offers... up to 5 per day. So I finally read the fine print on an American Express and Capital One offer and they both said I could be taken off their lists if I called this 888 number. So I did, and they also apparently have this website. I went there and signed up. We'll see if it works. Anyone else used it?

I have been in your same shoes. What I did to stop it was to fill their pre-addressed stamped envelope with whatever I could get into the envelope. I would make it as heavy as I could with the Sunday paper adds(heavy paper). On the back of the envelope I would write, "Mail Not Requested-Take me off your Mailing List". The mail arrives back to them owing a weight fee :--) and my little message.

This has cut my junk mail down by 80-90% and reduced the amount I have to recycle. :-laf

I do this number as well. I always send all prepaid's back with some of my other "junk" mail stuffed in it. Helps keep our stamp rates down (though they just went up... again).

I just went into that site & opted out for wife & me. We will see how well it works. I have also told the banks & c. c. co. that I deal with to quit sending me checks in the mail. If I want something I'll subscribe to it. I quit doing buisness with Sears for a # of yrs do to them always calling to sell extended warranties on things I bought. Got rid of our answering machine, unlisted our phone # & joined the do not call list.

Guess I'm just turning into a grumpy old fart. :-laf :-laf

I have also been doing the stuff the envelop thing for quite awhile. They must have gotten wise because now I still get the solicitations but not with the return envelop type. You know that if they can get enough new accounts to cover the postage that it will never end.

It works. I did it a couple months ago, now only Crapatil one sends me there junk. I have called them and they say "it will stop in 90 days". time to start sending wheel weights back in there return envelopes.
