I installed the X in my truck a month or so ago. i really dig it, especially how it captures your high readings.

However, yesterday I started the truck and a few "pixels" seem to be out, or off, or what have you. Anyone else experience this?

Mine does that 2 especially when it is cold I havent messed with it I can still read it well and it hasnt gotten worse for about a year

It's only a few spots, and it does not interfere with the actual reading numbers.

I'll get used to it I'm sure.

I actually have a couple extra pixels and every now and then especially when its cold I will get no signal to the pyrometer for a split second not enough for mr to freak out about though

I have not had that problem yet with the missing pixels on the display, the X-Monitor on my 03 is now two years old. I have had a problem at times with the whole display 0-Zeroing out at start up though, shows the display just fine but all numbers will be 0. It will happen ever so often, but it is very rare it does it. Usually I just turn off ignition and re-start and it's back to normal display showing. About the coldest it gets around where I live is in the lower teens at the worst and the X seemed to work fine, rare conditions it has got down to single digit temps, but thats been awhile back.

I have same problem and have since install when truck was new. Manufacturer said a bad ground, but I have not bothered to try it out.

Bad ground makes perfect sense...

Are you all happy with your x? How was the install? Any problems? Did anyone put in the fuel pressure option? If so, did you get a gauge for trans temp? Where did you mount the x and would you do it the same way?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm this ** close to buying one. I like the size of it, don't like the idea of three pillar mounted gauges. It's a little more expensive, but I'm hoping the benefits make it worth it.

I've had mine on my '03 for @ 2 1/2 yrs without any problem ,except occasional washout due to direct sun on it. A friend who works on electronics installed it and was very meticulous. I'm not at all sorry that I went with the X-monitor and highly recommend them.

I removed 5, that's right, 5 gauges, and replaced them with the X, and an Autometer FP gauge. I ditched the hourmeter comepletely.

I love the X so far. It was VERY simple to install, took me maybe 2 hours. I really like the alarm feature, and the high reading capture. The only time sun is an issue is if it's coming in your side window from behind. No biggy IMO.

The X-Monitor with fuel pressure display was also a hard decision for me to make I almost opted for it. I did go with the trans display model. It would be nice to have one with Pyro,Boost,Trans, and FP all in one small X unit.

Install on mine was done by a TDR member thats close to me, like Grunt install he was very particular and I was very happy with that. :D

Has anyone dealt with their customer service? I've sent to messages via their contact us form, as there is no email address listed on the site. Nothing so far.

Call them at 800. 887. 5030.

There was a part missing in my x-mon kit. I called them, it was in the mail that afternoon. Plus they answered a few questions I had about install. They were great.

Calling them now, thanks!

FANTASTIC!!!!

Called the number, got Dave in sales. After speaking with him for a few, he said he'd call me back after he found out why my email didn't get responded to. He called me back in 2 minutes, and put me to Loren in the claims department. After explaining my issue to him, he said to take an allen wrench, and back the display mounting screws off a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn.

It worked! The display is now 100% illuminating when I turn it on. :D :D :D
