X-Monitor install questions

I painted the pod and I'm about to drill and tap for the pyro. I feel good with that and the boost bolt is a no brainer. But what has surprised me is locating the transmission temp wire on the PCM.



Do any of you have any advice that could help me?

Nevermind I went to Carson Dodge and the shop foreman set me straight. If your in the area stop by Carson Dodge they have been great for the 10 years I have dealt with them.



Don't want to sound like a commercial but it is nice to point out the good dealers every now and then.



Good or bad give credit where credit is due.

I seem to recall a post here or there that the individual mentioned that they were able to get the dealer to install the gauges for them for like... . $150?? Anyone else have their dealer install their gauges/x-monitor for them????



I'm about to buy gauges or an x-monitor any day now, but I don't have the time or patience to install them myself.

I'm doing mine little by little, painted the mount last night and going to do boost, transmission temp and mount pillar tonight. Drill and tap for pyro tomorrow. Thats the plan anyway.



What I'm trying to say is if you feel comfortable just do it one piece at a time. When I installed my E-Brake on my 99 it took 4 nights to get it done, but I had the satisfaction of doing it myself.



As far as having it done at a dealer, if you feel comfortable with your dealer touching your truck, I'm sure there are allot of them that would be glad to do it 150 bucks.



If you were closer we could tackle the job together, yeah there's not allot of diesel wrenchers in my area. Thats why I spend so much time with you guys.
