On the 04 X-Monitor the instructions I got, says for the trans temp. " locate the trans temp monitor wire at the PCM connector , Pin 1, Violet. Is it not the ECM and if so what pin number ? And where is it ? Help ? I did a search and only found a incomplete post about pin 29 and then wasn't sure, said that he would update and didn't. If I leave the control module under the hood where is the easiest spot to power it up from ? Sorry for so many Q's.

My instruction book says for the '04 it is "ECM (50-pin C2 block) pin 29 - Dark Green w/ Orange tracer". The ECM should be on the lower part drivers side of the engine.



PCM (Center Block) Pin 1 - Violet is for the '03.



The '04. 5 600 is different, not sure which one that is.



I hooked mine into my Painless Wireing System.

On my 04 HO the dark green/orange wire is the one for the trans temp. I spliced into my back toward the firewall from the underneath side. At that point the wires are not in a loom and it is easier to reach than on the PCM.
