Just a quick note. I'll provide meor details if anyboby wants them.

If you get an X-Monitor with the fuel pressure option, make sure the instruction book that comes with it specifically talks about '03 pressure sensor location. Also, if you have the Jacobs E-Brake, the vacuum pump is in the way and the sensor can't be installed where the BD says to put it. Mine sensor is now mounted below the filter. I'll get some pictures this weekend.

Had great support from BD, Central Motive Power, and Johnson Auto Plaza in getting things straight.

That is the one we are leaning toward and we have the exhaust brake. I hope it is fairly easy, so we are looking forward to your pictures. Thanks Dave, for the heads up. It will help with planning.

Well not sure what exactly your instructions say. I got my X-Monitor first batch they made and the instructions were not up to date for the 03's yet. So I called them and they said it goes on the bottom of the fuel filter canister, no where near the vac pump.

I had the monitor installed by Central Motive Power. Whe BD faxed them the corrected page I didn't see it (and forgot it when I left). Don't know if they faxed a wrong page or not. CMP worked with BD again and put it below the filter. Anyway, it works.

Mudder - what pressurs are you reading? I'm 9. 5 at idle and around 5 at WOT, but could only do WOT for a short time.

Dave

I am seeing a little lower then that, around 8. 5 at idle and can drag it down to 1. 5 or so at WOT, but I am running an Edge EZ also which makes a big difference.

The sensor can be installed on either end of the line between the filter and the cp3. In my case neither is available because I have a pusher pump kit installed and I tee'ed it off in the center of the two. It is interesting how much variation people see in their stock fuel pressures. Mine had 12. 5 at idle that would drop to around 7 to 9 during normal driving and 5 at WOT. When I installed the EZ they remained the same except for the WOT which could be pulled down to vacuum. Thats when the pusher pump kit got ordered.
