Just for info... . I just received my X mount mirrors from Lucerix and I'm not crazy about how Huge they are! Looks like my truck has Dumbo ears. I have a 2500 truck and they may look better on a dually. I'm afraid someone might break a collarbone or such if they bump into one when walking by the truck. I just tried the drivers side and didn't even take a test drive. I think I'm going to settle for the Dodge Fold out towing mirrors and loose the power and heat option. They are also half the price.

Nickaru, too bad you aren't happy with your new towing mirrors. I'm sure others on this BB would interested if you are selling them. Another possible option for you... have you looked at the new generation Power Vision mirrors? These are electrically extended and heated.

..... just a thought

My MM's are great for towing, That is why I bought them. They shure look better than Mickey Mouse slide, clamp strap on's. I tow solo so manual mirrors are out and Power vision are good also.

I do a lot of towing ( all seasons ) so electric and heated are more important to me than style.

My Cummins just happens to be wraped in a Dodge, I would opt for big mirrors on a 53 Studabaker truck if that what I was towing with.

mho

Yes they are easy to install. Less than 1 hr.

Sorry you don't like the X-Mounts. I bought them for the very reason you dislike them. The stock mirrors, even with some slide on extensions, were just too small for my liking when towing the 30' Jayco TT. Simple to install (~45 mins. ) and I just like the looks of the bigger mirror. You do have to be careful when passing bicyclists. :D I think it's the most practical upgrade I've done to the truck.

I considered the Powervision but chose the larger glass size of the X-Mount. I guess I'm spoiled and couldn't stand the thought of giving up the power and heat by going with the Mopar towing mirrors.

Finally towed with my newly installed Power Vision mirrors and they do the job. BUT I did have to install a 2x2" convex add-on to the passenger side. Kinda got used to the image distorting passenger side "smaller than they appear" mirror.

That's great news Tom! Where did you purchase the (I'm assuming) 2"x2" convex mirror? It seems all I've ever seen are the round ones (exclusive of the Steel Horse custom style ones).

Hi John - got my 2x2 convex at Walmart for $2. Kinda neat to - has a small frame that offsets the mirror a bit. C U at Timberline in July!
