I am waiting for my 2001. 5 3500. I think I might want a X-Tended warr. What kinds of prices did you pay. I know that they will start out with high prices, but, I need to know how low I can get them. OUT

I did some research on this when I bought my truck and found that DC wants too much. I found several companies on the web with 6/100,000 bumper to bumper warranties for around 1000 dollars and DC wanted 1800 dollars. Shop around on the web. I'd like to know if any of our TDR brothers are using a different company, so we could get some references. I sure there are some disreputable ones out there.

DC wants over $2,000 now. The only option they offer on the Ram with Cummins engine is the deductable. 5 year/100000 miles is all they offer. My dealer doesn't even want to sell the DC service contract. Of course the one he wants to sell is cr*p.

Do a web search, there are a lot of service contracts out there. Read them carefully before you select.

I'd be interested in seeing what kind of luck that others had too since I will be wanting to purchase one myself.

One rumor that Ive heard is you have to be careful with internet sold warranties, because they may reserve the right to use non-oem parts or maybe even used parts on your Dodge. Im not sure of this, but it is what I've heard. I got the 6yr 72k Daimler warrantee from the dealer for 1200. 00.

Talk to a service writer for a DC dealership, one ya trust, that person will be able to tell ya who takes care of customers and is easy for servicing dealers to work with. Many are hesitant to talk because they may be selling other products that are not in favor w/ said service writer/advisor... then again, finding one ya trust can be difficult too!

Good Luck!
