Finally got around to trying to install the Xenon flares I bought a couple months ago. When I went to put the rears on, they don't fit the body well. There is a about a four inch section above the "belt line" on the body that won't come close to touching the truck. Xenon instructions say to put them in the sun (warm area) if they seem warped. Didn't make any difference. Also, there are notches on the base of the rear flares to go around existing bolts in the body. These also don't line up either. Two of them miss by an inch. After messing with them for a couple hours I gave up. I don't want to put something on that doesn't fit well. Worst part is, I had to put all the mud flaps back on that I had removed to do the install.

So, has anybody else had a bad experience with the fit on these flares? I have never heard any bad things about the Xenons before. Just wondering if I got a bad set or if others have had similar experiences? I'm going to call Xenon and see what they say. I still like the looks of these flares the best.

I had the same problem. The rear flares did not match up with the body lines very well and the notch for the bolts did not line either. I had them on for about a year and when I took them off I had alot of mud caked up in them. I'm glad I took them off now because if I would have left them on longer the fenders would have started rusting. There just laying around in the garage collecting dust now.
