Finally got down to Scheid's Diesel in Effingham Ill. These guys do great work and are very easy to deal with. Got Isspro guages installed along with Quad's towing box. First impression was that it was hard to tell the difference from stock Now that I've driven it awhile, I'm VERY pleased. The difference is that when towing my horse trailer stock, it would HOLD a hill pretty good, but you could not accelerate up the hill. With the box on, if you want to accelerate half way up the hill you will. I also noticed that if you really stand on it empty, you get a little smoke but not an embarassing amount. (my 14 year old REALLY likes that!) I also managed to slip the clutch a little in 5th.

Overall, this is a GREAT box for us towing guys that want an inexpensive power increase that doesn't break stuff! Later, RC.

Thanks for the post. I bought this box, but have not gotten around to hooking it up yet. I wanted to monitor my gauges a little before I installed the box. Anyway I had been wondering how people liked this for towing.

If you slipped the clutch a little in 5th, towing heavy you will be slipping under wot at lower RPM's. You'd better start planning on getting a SBC! Do it once, do it right!
