I currently have a SKYFi2 frequency modulator playing through my stock single cassette with mode button radio on my 2004 Dodge Ram. I want to hardwire an adapter to play through the cassette and eliminate the frequency modulation. Can this be done with this radio? If so, what do I need? Thanks!

I've recently done this in my truck. I used the adapter that Matt400 linked to, and mounted the cradle using a Pro-Fit mounting bracket. You have to file out a small piece of your dash to get the wires routed from the cradle to the logjam converter.

For power, I ran a lead from my painless wiring kit to a fused 12volt socket behind dash and plugged in the stock XM power supply. I read there were issues with using non-fused power on the SkyFi, which is why I didn't want to take chances.

While you're at it, visit www.xmfan.com They carry the audio input converters and also have a power hardwire kit for $25. They used to have a device that detected when power was supplied (through a switched circuit, obviously) and sent a signal to the SkyFi to turn on. Can't find it now, but it used to be there :-/
