911 problem on wheel horse charging system

OK, Umm, Oh Man this is just WRONG... and FUNNY

Does Sirius use DJs like XM? I want a constant loop of songs without interruption and no talking. That could easily be an automated process. I am almost to the point of throwing the XM console in the garbage. The DJs on there are absolutely annoying (Hank's Place)! The constant barrage of self commercials makes no sense... let's preach to the choir. Why spend $12/month when I can hear that sort of crap on FM for free?

Sirius uses DJ's but they actually keep quiet. the only thing they say is occasionally what song it is, or who the artist is. No personnal commercials from them.

The Sirius dj's also seem to be quite knowledgable within their music genre (at least for the jazz and classical). I enjoy them.

My biggest compaint with Sirius, and I assume that XM is the same way, is that the music is so digitally compressed that it sounds like AM, all-be-it in stereo and w/o static. My MP3 music on my iPod has much better fidelity than Sirius.

the only DJ plug that ive noticed on Sirius 31 is for other sirius country channels or "grand ol opry live on channel... " but other than that its songs! I enjoy it alot! Static is a little annoying but not real noticable.

Im happy! no more 50 min of commercials and 10 min of songs on FM "60 min straight non-stop songs" YEAH RIGHT!

GET SIRIUS!

Howsa bot tossing it my way. I could use another unit. :)

Yep, but I would rather put up with the DJ nonsensical chatter periodically than to have both the commercials AND the chatter. Besides, my options are limited here and I'm also a talk radio addict. :rolleyes:

Sirius = Stern

I love my XM radio. I've had three of them. I wouldn't touch a Sirius because they're paying that overpriced filth-mongering moron Howard "Girly Man" Stern millions to bring his garbage to satellite radio. XM has their garbage too, but I had them activate the filters on my radios so I don't have to listen to it. Howard "Girly Man" Stern is the worst of the worst IMHO.

So my question then will be to those XM haters is this. .

With the recent rumors of Sirius being bought out by XM and the possibility that could happen,what are you going to do for satelite radio?. Sirius was just recently forced to pony up the numbers on paid and non paid subscriptions to the FCC a move which preludes a sale. It amazed me how many Free subscriptions they have,a number which amounted to about 1/3 of their total numbers. Seems the recent additions of Stern and Karmazin have not added alot to their membership. Time will tell how long they last.

Personally,I wish someone would make a satellite radio which recieved both XM and Sirius. They each have programs that I enjoy and would pay a tad more to have the ability to get both without having 2 friggin recievers. So since I have been a XMer since the start and only get to listen to Sirius when my son comes home I'llw ait till somebody steps up and makes us a reciever with reception for both... ... Andy

A receiver(s) that would work with either XM or Sirius would be provide real boost to the satalite radio industry. A customer could by the receiver and know that it would work with either technology and not feel that they might be invesrting in dead-end technology. Both companies would see major increases in listeners, which is good for everyone.
