XM Radio

So I want to add a xm to my truck but I also want to use it in my camper. It would be easy if the camper radio would take cassetts, all I would have to do is buy a second car kit. However it won't, CD's only. Has anyone had experiance with one of those FM transmitters? Could it transmit a signal through the glass to the camper radio?

Get the Delphi SKYFi, with Car Kit, and the boombox to go with it. . if you check on XM's website, I think you can get one for cheap... I just got my 2nd XM in the mail Friday, and it is the one I am recommending to you, as well as the boombox... Definitely worth the buy!!! They do make a home adaptor kit, but for your purpose, I think you could get away with the boombox, as it comes with an antenna, and 20' of antenna cable. OK, I looked and heard the boom box but the sales person had no idea how long it will run on the six D cells. Anybody got a number? There is also a second main unit available but of course the same sales person could tell me nothing about it.

I don't know one brand from another but I bought the AudioVox. I sure it works the same as any other, but it is just wild. Never would I have thought the peace I would get driving and I do now. Anything you want to listen to all the time without car ads.

All I can say is XM is great. Get it anyway you can. Check out Nascar channel!!!

The d cells don't last more than about 6-8 hours. Be sure you have spares if you go for a weekend. They really need a larger or more powerfull battery. I would think you could make a 12 volt to whatever adapter.

delphi has a thing called a FM modulator. it hooks to the FM antenna wire between the antenna and the radio. There are 3 frequencies that the XM signal goes through it to the radio.



I'm buying the Delphi XM radio and the car kit for the antenna.
