XM roady hard wiring

I want to hard wire a XM roady made by delphi into my vehicle and I noticed that the cigerette plug has 5v written on it. This plug has circiutry inside it to lower the voltage. has anyone wired the xm roady into thier trucks and how did you do it?

I would love to know how to do this as well. I have about 14 gajillion things I need to plug in and my truck is starting to look like a beg rig w/ all the adapters I have.

I got the auto kit for mine and it came with hard wire cig. plug and I stuffed it behind the dash. Like you I have way to many things hanging from my power outlet.

Thats what I did also. My radio (panasonic) has a direct input that I wired straight into the XM radio so I don't have to use the frequency transmitter in the XM radio.

Explain more rorytek, I am still am missing it. I am talking about the power source. Did you cut the cig plug of the XM? Did you pull the cig. plug out of the dash and plug it into the XM power source behind the dash? Did you purchase an aftermarket cig plug and wire the two that way? I need step by step to clarify. :-laf :-laf

I bought an aftermarket Cig plug wired it to Key on power and tied it up under the dash to get my power
