Anybody out there using Satellite radio?

If so ... . which one? What type of antenna / tuner mounting methods?

I am probably going to go with XM, but have yet to see a good method of installing the antenna. I do not want wires hanging down, and would be willing to drill the roof for an OEM look, but can't find the right antenna.

I have Sirius. The antenna is sitting on the left corner of the dashboard until I'm certain where I want to mount it permanently. Probably on the left front corner of the roof, so it will be out-of-the-way of long items carried on the roof rack that's mounted on top of the cab-high shell. Meanwhile, it's working fine.

I have XM.

Main reason I have XM is because I already had a Pioneer premier deck that has all the controls built in so I just needed the tuner and antenna.

My antenna is mounted in the middle of my roof close to the back and the wire comes out the Center Brake light. Not sure where the wire is inside the cab cause I can't see it :D . The guy that installed mine did a real clean job.

I've got the XM, had it for 2+yrs. now, 2nd trk. its been in. Its an older Sony DRN model, the ant. looks like a sharks fin. Its installed like Woodenheads, real neat install(did it myself;) ) I had it painted white like the trk. , I think it looks real good.

I don't know, haven't looked for them lately. Its a nice unit, but I think the new Delphi Skyfi unit is nicer. I like their boombox also.

I think painting the ant. to match your trk. makes it look a lot better.

I have Delphi Sky-fi XM radio. I have the antenna up on the dash on the passenger side on the truck and on the Ford Focus up on the dash on the driver's side. No problems, unless in a long tunnel, with either's reception.

My "hockey puck" is in the middle of the roof about an inch behind the center clearance light. We used the light wire hole and just a little more caulk around the lens. You can hardly see the thing till you get higher off the ground. I like it.

I have the Xm radio and love it... the receiver is mounted under the drivers seat. The antenna runs under the carpet, up the left rear side panels under the headliner, and out the third brake-light. it is a clean install, and took about 2 hours start to finish

I have XM using an Alpine unit. Ant is on the dashboard and the tuner box is mounted to the crossmember behind the glovebox. Have had it almost a year and no problems.

I have XM in my Acura and 02 2500 with Alpine tuners. I use Antenna Specialists Constellation thru glass antennas. No dropouts or problems. They are a little pricey (around $70 ) but alot better than drilling a hole and worring about it leaking.

There is a 'big rig/ RV" antenna tht mounts to mirrors on big trucks. This another choice, it is pricey, about 70 bucks but it does have greater gain than the hocky puck type. I saw them at Best Buy.
