XZT problems on PowerJoke

Friend of mine installed an XZT on his F-250 before he made a cross the country trip last month. After the first tank full of fuel he pulled over and removed the XZT. He said when he would let off the pedal and then applied power it had none and was real jumpy. Lots of black smoke. :-{}



Any thoughts?

Yeh, tell him to buy a Dodge!!!

VGT valve is stuck probably. Pretty common on the 6L?? Hard to say with only the info provided?

Spoke to friend last night. He was running along with cruise control on. When he would hit his brake to dis-engage the cruise and then go back to power is when it would run bad. He would have to go to the floor with his pedal to get any power.

Pretty much the same diagnosis as before. He needs to go to the dealer and tell them what it is doing. Almost guarantee you the vgt valve is sticking.
