YAAAAHHOOO!!! I got my truck!

Well, I found a deal I just couldn't pass up! It is a white 2001, 6-speed, HO, quad-cab, 4x4, shortbed, with all the options I wanted! I haven't been this happy since my daughter was born. Only has 10,000 miles on it and a new set of BFG's! I will update my signature accordingly.

Congrats. Hopefully your daughter won't be reading this post. She might be put out about it. Just curious about the axle ratios? Do you tow? Is it a 2001 or a 2001. 5? You will love the 6 speed. I traded a 2001. 5 5 speed after 6 months to get the 6 speed I should have ordered in the first place. I'm falling in love with the 4. 10's too. What were you driving before?

I believe it is a 2001. It was born on 04/00 so I don't think I have the benefit of a 2001. 5 (ie 4 wheel discs). The axle is the 3. 54. I would have liked to have the 4 wheel discs, but it had every other option I wanted and the price was right. Before this truck I had a 2000 Ford Crew Cab powerjoke. Before that I had a 1999 Dodge 2500 Cummins that I should have NEVER traded for the Ford. I will be kicking myself for a long time over that one! Oh well, at least I have what I want now.

huskerman, i got to tell you man, i fall in love more with my truck each day. I also have the 6 speed with the 3. 54, and i love it, tows like a beast, although i have a few minor hp improvements , the wife thinks im nuts, cant understand how somebody could like a vehicle this much. i just tell her "its a diesel thing you wouldn't understand"
