I never thought I would see diesel under two bucks again until today. Diesel at a gas station on U. S. Hwy 183 near HWY 21 in Mustang Ridge, TX is $1. 99. A few months back we were knocking on the door of $5. Santa Clause does exist!

Are you in Mississippi? I know they have little or no state taxes on fuel. A buck eighty-five for weeks is definitely not the norm by a long shot. I'm assuming all states now are required to sell the low Sulfur Diesel that's more expensive to refine.

They probably have to ship the oil back to the lower 48 to refine it into diesel before it ends up at your local gas station.

Across the border in Mexico you can still get the Diesel with Sulfur. I bet the price in Mexico is getting down into the buck and a quarter range. When we were at almost $5 the Mexican Diesel was only around $2.

Just south of Houston... ULSD is actually cheaper than LSD (which is still avaialble) most of the time

I'm surprised it's that much cheaper in Houston. You'd think fuel would always be cheaper in Houston than the Austin area but it's usually been about the same price when I've gone to Houston. The cheapest gas prices around here are $1. 20 with a Walmart or Sams card.

Wow and I thought that the $2. 59 that I got it at a couple of days ago was AWESOME,

Best I have seen here was $2. 39 for about a day and then started creeping back up just before christmas.

If I UPS you some empty milk jugs, will you hook me up??? LMAO

J-

I paid $2. 05 yesterday in Columbus Ohio. Look at this gas prices website, and select your area and type of fuel. Columbus Gas Prices - Find Cheap Gas Prices They cover cities all over the country.

Granted, most cheap stations in this area are around $2. 25 - but hey! You take what you can get. And with a 60 Gal tank in both of my trucks I can wait until I'm going to buy 50 Gal or so, then I'll drive across town.

Diesel can be had for as low as $2. 18 here in central jersey.

$2. 50 is more common though.....

I'm smack between two very large refineries. :p

In Mercer County (central NJ) the cheapest place I have found is the Gulf Station directly across from Quakerbridge Mall on Route 1 southbound side. I just paid 2. 09 (cash price) and he is consistently %0. 10 to $0. 15 cheaper than everyone else.

Chris

yea here it is about 2. 39 on the average. The real kicker is now it is almost affordable again , the Fed's want to impose a 10-15 cent a gallon tax on diesel and about 8-10 cent a gallon on gasoline.

I'm in Ocean county. :D

Today I saw Diesel down to $1. 89 but of course my tank was full and the station was not near my normal commuting area. I'm still seeing a few mom & pop joints with Diesel that is probably a month old selling for as much as $2. 69. If you run some siphon hoses my way I'll do my best to send some fuel to Washington, Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, and Arizona. Alaska might be a stretch but I'll do my best.
