'92 FSM! Gotcha! ;D [laugh]

Sorry, but couldn't resist. Hey ... at least I'm starting off on the right foot or left foot for left-handers but wait I'm cross-dextrous (get your minds out of the gutter ... I'm strange, but not that strange) so that means I'm starting out on the left foot. Happen to be right-handed but left-footed. I guess a wire got crossed somewhere along the line. Now, now ... try to resist the irresistible urge to say something smart-alecky.

I'm quite impressed with it, much better than my GM FSM's. And judging from all the grease marks on the diesel-related pages the previous owner/user was a dieselhead.

Took a quick look thru it & have a couple of questions. There's a section on "Vehicle Weights" & quite a few of the 'rows' have 2 weights with no explanation of why the 'extra' weight is listed. I'm most interested in the "Curb Weight" #'s but double #'s are also listed for "GVWR" & "Payload Allowance". It's not RC vs CC as there are separate rows for each. Or 2WD vs 4WD ... ditto. Or SB vs LB bc apparently the 250 & 350 series weren't available with the SB. Or, apparently, SRW vs DRW at least for the W350 since there's only one weight listed for it -- 4845 lbs. Can anyone explain the two #'s? Here's the abbreviated table:

#ad

The other question I had concerns a couple of references I found to the NV4500. What's up with that? I thought only the Getrag was available up to '93, am I mistaken?

Did you guys know that there are around 2700 different species of mosquito's world wide ???? And while similar to coconut laden swallows' the top speed of an UN-laden skeeter is 1. 5 mph. Also they are extremely short take-off and landing species, able to refuel pretty much anywere on the planet, getting excellent mileage and leaving the fuel source "itching" for a cure... :D:D:D

Left handed my bottom... ... ... . ;);):D

Pastor Bob,

Our Lady Of Acceleration Church. ;)

I recall seeing some such pesky mosquitoes hanging about the shrubbery in front of my house  :D

NEE... . NEE... ... NEE... ... NEE... ... :-laf :p

Alrighty then... ... ...

The getrag is the OE manual trans in the 1st gens. Some have opted to convert to a NV4500 for added durability, etc. There are conversion kits avilable for this swap.
