I always move the fan to its lowest speed before changing air direction and temp. It's possible to plug the Mega air directly beneath the front of the center console. Plugging with a rag at the center console would make it easily reversible for later use/sale. Easiest way to access would be removing the seat.

The screen is visible about center of the truck when you lift the dash back off the housing. Use a razor knife to carefully cut the screen out. Do not cut the seal!

The recirc door does not seal air from the vents or floor. That is the job of the mode door. If you are going to pull the dash and housing you should be able to check the door operation. If you just plan on changing the recirc door and cutting the screen there is no need to pull the HVAC housing out of the truck. But if you want to check the mode door you will have to pull and split the housing.

If you want to keep it in recirc all the time, drive it there and unplug the servo. Keep in mind you will not have good window defrosting. If it were me I would just press the recirc button.

I wouldn't worry about a little air coming from vents that you haven't selected you need to worry if the air doesn't come out of the vents you have selected. :)

You really just need to figure out if your recircualtion door is working.

Do you have a positon for "max' a/c? On my Mule the recircualtion position puts the a/c on "max" of course it mite be a little out of date compared to yours ( but it works):D.

thanks for the replies, i guess i will leave it alone due to the " when you lift the dash back off the housing. statement, just the usual, weak flow from the far right pass. vent. thanks as for cooling problem that other people have stated, once it gets cool it is fine even on hot FL days here, it just has to cool a football size of an area. later be safe.....

My Mega does the same thing-air coming where it really shouldn't, but at least it's coming out. It is still one of the most pathetic cooling systems I've had the luck to deal with. Loud fan, poor air flow. And the air isn't as cool as I think it should be.

Has anyone figured out a better fan system?
