year 1999 mods whats best bang for the $$$

can i move fuel plate on a 99 a/t trans



now its stock, 4. 11 gear 3/4 ton short bed



4x4 , any old used injectors with hp

increase that were replaced,

any thing to do to pump . ,

There is no fuel plate to move in the 24v.



Its all done electronically.



What do you consider cheap?



The EZ is popular or injectors. Both are roughly $500 (except 275 injectors which are usually $300) And the "stage" of injectors will change the price higher or lower.....

Here's my 2 cents....

Bill, for cost and bang for the buck, I woud recommend three things:



1) Upgrade the A/T to handle the extra torque.



2) Stage I or 275 injectors



3) Power Edge EZ Box



I put both of these on, and you won't believe it's the same truck!



If you decide to go MORE than this, you will be looking at upgrading other things leading to BOMBing mania and BIG $$$$. (It's addictive)



I am not the expert around here, but I can say that having the injectors and EZ box make a killer combination that is within the limits of the drivetrain.

By far the biggest bang for the buck is going to be a fueling box like the Edge Power Edge or a TST Powermax or a similar box. They can give a ton of power for the money, but high EGT's are the usual consequence along with a need for a new clutch that will hold all the power.

The truck in question is a stock auto truck. Which is why I didn't mention any of the "major" fueling boxes. He wanted cheap... ... you can do an EZ or injectors on a stock auto.



Gauges are on the list as well. But if it came down to it I would have no problems running an EZ without gauges. But he didn't ask about gauges He asked for power... .....
