So for a while now I have noticed that I need mode peddle to do the same. Feels "heavy". Today the truck just died... wait5 5 minutes ran a few miles, died. Made it to the dealership tho.

Funny part here is that 800 miles ago (2 weeks), while I was out of town getting the water pump replaced, I asked them to check out he lift pump, explained my loss of power issue. They said things were fine. Cost me $80 to have that checked and u-joints "checked".

Question, do they remove the LP to do a test? or do they use the drain hose for a "flow/psi test'? Could they have known it was bad then? or do they just "go'?

When it went the second time, I noticed a puff a white smoke. Assuming this would be normal...

I'm rather livid right now that the truck's down after I had stuff tested a few weeks ago.

Curious, do I purchase the replacement for htem to replace? or do I let them warrenty an intake pump? how much trouble is the intank pump to replace with a FASS down the line?

Just get a fass. if you do get the intank pump and upgrade to a fass in the future you will have to have a standpipe installed. with your not lift pump tank the fass can be installed inline and just pull the fuel thru what you have now. just my . 02. If you do decide to get the intank pump installed under warranty make sure you keep your old sending unit.

Good call on the sending pipe. I will request that. I just might get it installed. I need to get guages, I have the cash for that right now. I plan on getting Fuel Pressure and Rail PRessure and a rear-view mount setup this week.

I'll get a fass down the line and let DC warrenty this one.

it's official. I"m getting an intank pump... This time they checked it and it was below spec, but 800 miles ago it was above. funny how that works huh?

I wonder what kinda power increase I'll get now.

So the LP is in and working. new high pressure lines attached to the filter housing. looking at the tank, new thing on top.

Funny part is that I didn't see any new "wires" run. look more closely and there are already wires in a harness from the factory! they were planning a head on these things breaking, even more proof!

So anyone with an 04. 5 could use pre-existing wires in the truck for a fass or something.

also, things are a bit smoother. Smoke level is up a TON. throttle responce is much much better. top end seems a bit stronger as well.

maybe it's because I was driving around an 89' 310,000 mile old toyota camry wagon for the weeked?
