Hello all,

I've been lurking for nearly a year, even before I bought my "Big Blue '93". My brother affectionatly calls it my "BUD, big ugly Dodge". I was actually looking for an early 2nd gen but couldn't wait around for a good deal on one any longer, especially when I found this one on the bulletin board at work last October. Now I'm glad I didn't wait! Got it from the original owner with only 39k actual miles! It's got nearly 48k on it now. And for $8,400! At first I thought that was a little high, but now I realize how good a deal I got. Here is the link to my readers rig page for pics. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?&albumid=16225 . Thanks to all for the great sight here, I've learned lots about these trucks from you guys. I had Joe D. put in my injectors and he may fix my KDP and timing case bolts this weekend. I may eventually have to go back to the stock injectors due to the smog nazis, but for now I'm makin a little smoke! :D I've done most of my own vehicle maintenance over the years but wanted to learn a bit more about diesels before trying to tackle much of anything major myself. I'll have some questions pretty soon for you guys. I trust Joe D's advice but don't want to be too much of a pest, also it's often good to get some others opinions on things too. Anyway, hope you like the pics.

Welcome. I'm new here myself, but like you have been lurking around for a while. Nice truck, by the way. Not too many of those low mile gems still around.

Welcome aboard. You will like the privileges of membership. You can be assured that you got a good deal on the truck. I have three CTDs and the last I aquired was a 93 with 68 thousand miles. I paid 95 hundred in early April last year and drove it to Anchorage Allaska three days later pulling a gross of 20k lbs.

While they aren't perfect, I trust these trucks a lot. Hope you enjoy your as much as I enjoy mine. These guys can/will help you with the less than perfect part.

Thanks all. Sort of like 1stgen4evr, I drove it up into the mountains of Colorado to go elk hunting only a week after I bought it and after getting home, I then drove it to GA and back. That's where I got 8k miles on it in only a few months. It's my daily driver right now but only put about 25-30 miles on it per day going back an forth to work. I trust it more than just about anything I've ever had. Starts as soon as the first cylinder hits a compression stroke!

Welcome and that is a nice truck, nearly a twin to mine exept I have a 5speed and no LE trim. Mine has 108 thou on it now, it's hard to believe people bought these trucks with that huge (costwise) diesel option and then drove them so sparingly. It doesn't make economic sense, but it's always a pleasure to find some low mileage gem in a garage just sitting.
