Yet another way to freely secure your long term parked truck (manual's only)

So last night I was trying another attempt at keeping my SBC HD master/slave adjustable setup adjusted just right and it dawned one me.



The rod that actuates the master cylinder pops out rather easily, and that plastic pin pops outa the clutch peddle, dis connect the clutch lock out plug and remove from truck. Now you have a useless clutch!



Maybe when an intruder breaks in and notices right away that the clutch peddle is "free" they won't attempt to break ignition stuff.



worst case, missing stereo and loose things in cab, and a broken door lock or window.

Great Idea. But have a question. If the would be thief pushes on the clutch pedal with the rod removed, thus building pressure in the master and pushing out the piston. Will you be able to push the piston back in and install the rod? Don't know if I worded it right but you get the idea. Why not just disengage the slave at the transmission and leave it loose but remove the bolt and the holding tang?

There are 2 rods, one _into_ the master cylinder, and one _out of_ then slave. I pop the rod outa the master and dis connect it from the peddle completely. The clutch peddle pushes on nothing.



You can't push the slave rod outa of the slave cylinder this way.
