I just bought this '92 4x4 for dirt cheap to use as a beater. I thought that you guys might get a kick out of this. The injection pump is held on with one bolt and a piece of bailing wire. It leaks oil like crazy but actually runs pretty good. I don't know if that says more about the effictiveness of bailing wire or the ruggedness of our engines:-laf .

OM GOSH!!!

Not wanting to hijack, but your truck has the TSB 14-02-90 "High Accelerator Pedal Effort" kit installed on it. And that spring hooked on the front of the gear case cover has definitely seen better days!!! If you decide to "redo" this setup I would be interested in buying those parts from you, but we would have to discount that spring!

I dont think that is the OEM spring, there, Trent. At least mine never looked like that.



I'd get me a few more nuts to hold the pump in place. The ear can break off, potentially wreaking all kinds of havoc.
