Check this 6. 0 problem - Ford doesn't think diesel in the oil is a problem till you get over 3 quarts!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the guys says this:



"Diesel is a light lubricant so it is not nearly as bad as having gasoline mixed with your oil. I seriously doubt it will hurt anything during that short running time. "



These folks must have a group buy on 55 gallon drums of Vasoline!

I believe that is also the max spec for Cummins engines. I agree its wrong, but warranty won't help you until you are over this and can prove it with documentation. Good thing most Cummins are way under this.

This in the old days with the big rigs would be called "making oil". The main bearings would not last long with the fuel dilution. I suspect things have not changed much in the lubrication factor here.
