traction bars, ladder bars. etc. I would like your honest thoughts on this. I have been researching this for a good year either waiting for a product to jump out at me or prices to drop. or quality on some manufactures names to get better. I need to do this soon for my truck and would like to know what is still the best bang for you $... best product for either rebuilding the joints or bushing. my truck I daily drive and have a 6" lift I know there are alot of nice ones out there and those nice ones usually have big $ on them. are they worth it in the long run. would like to hear from you all out there. also couldnt find any 2nd gen 4wd using cal-tracs I know they are out there. like to see some thoughts thanks.

i would like to find some for my 98 as well. i have a set on my 06 that i just pulled off and yes for towing and wheel hop it made a lot of difference. i love them and would love to find a way to put them on my 98 now. i took them off of my 06 cause im selling it they were made by superlift. but no such luck for the older style from them. the cost was around 600 if i remeber right.

If you get in offroad situations you will instantly love them. In sand and snow when you would be getting bad wheel hop in 2 or 4wd is totally iliminated and I now drive through many spots that required 4wd and extreme wheel hop in 2wd smooth as can be now.

Her is the place I got mine they have the biggest selection and are reasonably priced when I was shopping a couple years ago. I went with tough country and have had great luck with them. Sled pull regular with them also with 0 complaints. They have since changed the design on the ones I got.

traction bars, ladder bars, lateral strut bars

thanks I like to hear this sorta stuff. it looks like those bushings are rebuildable also. I dont want to crack open the worm can but joints apposed to bushings on articulation. my lift is 6" its from RCD I know RCD makes simular to what you have. I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not waisting my money

For a second generation truck the best bang for the dollar with ladder bars are Darryl Poole's bars which can be bought at Enterprise Engine Performance in Ohio. However,I am not sure they would fit a 6" lift like you have. I had a set of them and loved them, wished I would have never sold them and went to the longer bars I have now. Many of the Midwest puller run them on their double duty trucks because of their durability..... Andy

P. S. -Here is a shot of them when they were on my truck from my old readers rig area... .
