Virtually anyone can be a Democrat.

Just simply follow where you are led.

But if you want to be a GOOD Democrat, there are some prerequisites

you

must meet first.

Compare your beliefs to those below and see how you rate.

1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal

funding.

2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th

graders how

to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3. You have to believe that guns, in the hands of law-abiding

Americans,

are more of a threat than U. S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands

of

Chinese communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by

cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected

by

yuppies driving SUVs.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being

homosexual

is natural.

7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on

demand.

8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and big

governments create prosperity.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony

activists from Seattle do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than

actually

doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians start

wars.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain

parts

of the Constitution, while the ACLU is

good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too

high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are

more

important to American history than

Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial

quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really a lady.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked

anywhere it's been tried, is because the

right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail,

but

a liar and sex offender belongs in the

White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades applauding drag queens,

transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, but

manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic party funding by the

Chinese

is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

Vote Democratic... It's easier than thinking.

I suppose everyone wont find this amusing:-{} but I liked it.

In Champane's case ... don't believe everything Rush tells you ... he lies about everything.

Believe only what the DNC and major media wants you to believe ... they are the only ones with the truth. :D

Good one Eric

Got a good laugh out of that one.

I'm sure there is one about Republicans. Well, LHotka?????

I don't take myself ultra-seriously, so I will get a good laugh from it as well. :D :D

Eric... very good one !!

FC. . "Believe only what the DNC and major media wants you to believe ... they are the only ones with the truth. ". . boy isn't that the truth

Very funny stuff...

It is such a shame that this Republican administration and the RNC can't pull it head out of its bu11 long enough to see the country taking a nose dive. As long as Bush is useing my money to raise money for the RNC everybodys happy huh? :D

Yeap, we have a politician trying to start wars in office now, don't we? I have watched my savings go downhill since Bush took over, I am not in the mood for funny stuff:D . Hopefully the rest of the country can get rid of this loser next election.

Rush is out for Rush and ratings. I do not believe him, the DNC, or the RNC. I can see some have pretty big blinders on though. It would be funny, but somehow nobodys laughing. Its going to be a long cold winter. :(

Actually where I'm located in NJ, I'm pretty normal.

It's Newark, Camden etc. that really screws up NJ.

Some years back, South Jersey wanted to seceed (sp?) but that didnt work out.

CF, I havent listened to Rush in well over 5 years. He's too liberal for me. :-laf :-laf

As far as the country taking a nose dive... I guess you mean the economy??? We all know that was crapping out before George Jr too office.

Me4osu, I'm glad that youre taking this for what it was, fun.

I too was waiting for LHotka's responce. :D

It's all good.

Show me the money...

What I see is everytime. A Republican takes office, the economy takes a nose dive. And everytime it is blamed on the Democrat that was before him. Everytime it goes up after a Democrat takes office, some Republican takes credit for it from the last administration. Show me the money... ... ... :D So far the Republicans lack proof. Of course the party has plenty of money... .

Lets not forget that the current economy actually started going slightly downhill back in the early 1990's, but the media didn't harp on it, because they didn't want anyone to realize it.

And, the stock market began it's current depression like slide in the summer of 2000 - well before we knew who would be the (then) next President, so no one can even possibly say our current economic problems are because Bush won the election 2 years ago.

It 's me that currently there are a swarm of TV and likely radio ads that all blame the Republican Administration for the economy, their particular method for responding to International Terrorism, etc. . All the sheeple see/hear those ads, and naturally think, since there are no similar ads pointing fingers at the liberal side of things, that therefore the conservatives are all at fault. They simply don't realize, the conservatives don't like to stoop to the low, underhanded level of the Clinton-ites and so don't engage in such behavior, for the most part.

Are the conservative politicians perfect? Heck no!! Usually they are somewhat better than the Democrats, and sometimes no better at all.

I look at it like this:

* I work for my money, no one gives it to me for nothing

* I absolutely believe 100% in the Constitution of the United States, and ALL it's ammendments

* I pay taxes

* I am a proud veteran of the US Army

* I am a gun owner and a hunter

* I am a home owner

Therefore, I absolutely loathe any politician that attempts to regulate, legislate or otherwise force their particular views on me, or tries to control how I enjoy spending my time and money on anything I so choose. It just so happens that in about 90% of the cases where such infringement occurs, the offending politician is on the Left of the political spectrum.

Ok, enough ranting for today :D

I do not wish to offend my fellow diesel enthusiasts, just needed to express my own, personal point of view.

Regards,

Tom

That's funny. The last time I can remember double digit inflation rates was during peanuts... er ahhh Jimmy Carter.

But I guess that's happening right now and the media is covering for Bush Jr.

That was also the last time I collected unemployment.

So far, and as far as we can tell, our current President is much more honest and has a higher standard of morality, dignity and self-discipline than his predecessor.

What I mean by that is Mr Bush doesn't have to prove he is the Christian he claims to be. Of course, we don't know what goes on behind the doors of the Oval Office - but then again, there hasn't been anyone come out and accuse him of indecent acts in that office, either. But his predecessor had to be shown almost weekly coming out of a church on a Sunday morning with his loving wife on his arm, a Bible in his left hand (with the words "Holy Bible" showing), and his wedding ring silhouetted against the Bible trying to prove he was an upright, moral man - and we all learned otherwise (anyone remember "Monica", the definition of "is", his presidential "pardons", etc. , etc. , etc. ad nausiam ??).

I have never seen a more sleazy, sickening couple in my almost 52 years of life than the previous president and his wife. I can't stand to see or hear either of them. I would rather trust the local neighborhood serial child molester with my 18 year old daughter than to have to believe anything either of those two said. Personally, both of them are nothing more than trailer trash. About 2 years ago, he signed a deal to write a book and received right at $8 million. He hasn't written a word yet. Honesty?? She "stood by her man" only because she wanted to remain in the White House and rape it of as many expensive artifacts as she could get away with - and she has. The only reason she won't divorce his lazy, sleazy butt is because that would hurt her chances of continuing as a senator and her goal of running for president, herself. And if she does run and is elected, this country is really screwed.

One thing I will do - if we (the nation) do expand our war to include invading Iraq, I will encourage my two sons to enlist in the military immediately. I did everything I could to discourage them (and succeeded) while our previous president was in office. I have such disdain for him (and her) that I did not want my sons serving under them.

Disclaimer: These are my thoughts and do not necessarily represent the opinions and viewpoints of the host, moderators, or advertisers of this web site.

And I succeeded in stating my thoughts without ever having to use the name of the previous president. If you don't like my thoughts - oh well. Come up with your own. OK - flame away.

Wayne

Wayne..... you are 100% correct IMHO . . no flames are needed from here

I have never been able to understand how the Liberals and Dems. could defend that sleazy individual.

I also get ILL every time I see either of them, can't get to the button quick enough

Defend?

I would not even try to defend Clintons actions. However, I also think it is none of my buisness what a President does in his private affairs. It is how he runs the nation that is my buisness. And I don't believe most of the crap that comes from the RNC propaganda machine, just as I don't believe most of the stuff from other sources, such as the DNC and the news media. I believe what I can see... ... ... . This is what I percieve... ...

This president has been on his own private adgenda since he came into office. His war on terror has become bogged down in his own familys private vendetta towards Iraq, when the real terrorist are running loose all over the world.

He has honestly done nothing to instill confidence in investors or consumers of this nation. He has not a clue in foriegn affairs and at every turn alienates friendly relations with every allie we have made over the years. While he continues making friends with the very same countries that have supplied this nation with the terrorists that brought us 9/11.

Yet when any dirty dealing with Enron, Haliburton, or others surfaces, they are swept under the carpet by the money and power that comes with the RNC. What amazes me is that all todays woes are blamed on the past administration while this one just can't do any wrong.

This president has skeletons larger than life, yet when confronted by them, they suddenly dissapear. If the RNC didn't spend millions trying to dig up jilted lovers, old buisness deals, and affairs on Clinton, nothing would have been known. I can garrantee that if someone spent that much on an investigation of Bush, his a$$ would be grass.

I still don't care if the president goes to church everyday of the week. It really doesen't impress me, in fact it makes me suspicious.

I was in the military and can say that I didn't fight for a president, I fought for my country. I have grandchildren in the service right now and fear for them under this administration. This president has not a clue. Has never seen war, yet wants it.

On a positive note, he handled 9/11 very well and should get high marks for that, and he has upped our military budget. It has been cut for years under both partys, without making the force any smaller. Mismanagment in its truest form.

Oh great. Now I have a cookie in my computer from that site. :D

Did you get the pop up on the Paul Wellstone death? Media makes him sound pretty moderate.

Oh well.....

Eric

Bring your waders.....

I can't help but comment on the statements made by others. To let you know a little of my perspective, I am an active duty Air Force officer, educated (or so they tell me) at the USAF Academy where I majored in Political Science... This is not the view of the AF, the US gov't, or anything or anyone official... yada yada. Just the views of a pee-on Lieutenant.

The fundamental questions of politics are many: who rules, what authority is given to them, etc. According to the Founding Fathers, "Governments are instituted among men" to "secure these (unalienable) rights. Those unalienable rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. PLease note that the Declaration list these rights as being AMONG the unalienable rights, implying that there are more. The three mentioned are simply those three felt to be most important. They are SO important, because they come from God, and from our status as humans.

Therefore, if the state is to place any kinds of limitations upon these freedoms, it must have an OVERWHELMING, COMPELLING reason to do so. This applies to life, liberty, and property.

This has many staggering implications. Ever wonder why an inmate may sit on death row for 20 years? It's because our system is set up to guarantee that person every legitimate chance before the state deprives him of his life. If the state is to sanction the taking of life, it has to make a compelling case, and that's a high bar to measure up to. Unless, of course, you are trying to kill a defenseless baby. Then, the state sanctions the death without even a second thought. Why is it that the life of an innocent child is many thousands of times easier to take than is the life of someone convicted of a heinous crime??? Answer me, NARAL. The arguement that's not a life is ridiculous and everyone knows it. It is impossible to successfully use the Constitution to argue in favor of abortion. There is no connection between right to privacy and right to kill. The thinking is this: I have a right to control what is mine (a woman's body in this case), and can do anything I wish to within my possession. IF this is true, then why can't I commit murder in my home or car? So much for abortion.

The one thing that the abortion advocates have right (sort of, anyway) is the Government has to make a compelling case before it can regulate any aspect of our lives-- our money, our bodies, our TRUCKS, our LIBERTY. That means before they can say abortion or smoking or anything else is wrong, they have to make their case. The case against abortion is self-revealing, so that's an easy one. But others are more difficult. Regulations on smoking, auto safety, and others are a weak case at best. Others are strong cases for outlawing, but are protected by a misinterpretation of the Constitution. Pornography comes to mind. Anyone who has ever read up on the correlation of pornography to violent crime would agree with me that's it far more dangerous than guns or that ilk. The first amendment was never designed to protect this type of "speech".

The Constitution has very strict limits on what the Gov't is allowed to do. Most of these are out the window now, thanks to an out-of-control Supreme Court. Keep in mind, that the const. is there to PROTECT our rights, but IT IS NOT THE SOURCE OF THEM. That, the framers said, comes from God, and from our status as humans. Thus the Constitution is there is to tell the Gov't only what it can do-- all the rest is off limits. People now (mistakenly) view it the other way around- that the const. tells the Gov't what it cannot do, otherwise it can do what it wants. This thinking was in the Bill of Rights, but the Bill is only there to make DOUBLE sure that no one could construe the Constitution to limit these rights.

The weakness of the course we are presently on (as a nation) lies in increasing people's dependence upon the state. This is by design; if you as a politician have a say in someone's livelihood, you have more power. If you have a big say in their life, you OWN them, and their vote as well. This is the Democratic tactic-- make someone more dependent on you, and buy their vote with Gov't spending. One of the Founders said that all that is necessary for a democracy (fragile by nataure) to dissolve into tyranny is for the public to find a way to vote themselves money from the public treasury. Social Security and other welfare "entitlements" have furnished just that.

And you thought slavery was over a long time ago? Think again. Every elderly person who depends on Social Security is a slave. Prescription drugs from medicare? Even more of a slave. BTW-- if you want to know why drugs are so much cheaper in other countries, it's because: 1) there's aren't stupid juries letting ambulance chasers shake down corporations for millions there, and 2) drug companies don't have to spend all the money to buy FDA approval for the meds. Yes, the FDA is corrupt, and makes a lot of "insider" deals with drug companies-- usually so a politician can get his coffers padded with more MONEY.

Personally, I object to having my money taken at gunpoint. Yes, that's what happens when you pay taxes. If you disagree, just don't pay them, and resist arrest when they come to get you. It pisses me off even more when that money goes to help a lifelong smoker treat his emphysema (decisions have consequences, pal), or to help some wacko "artist" smear crap on a religious icon. These are not proper functions of government. What are? I refer you to the Constitution. Funny how there's nothing in there about healthcare or social insurance.

The sad fact remains that many topics of present debate are caused by a government law covering for the loss of a moral one. It used to be that people were morally minded, and didn't need a law to tell them abortion was wrong. Or euthanasia. Or using drugs. But now that we are discovering all our new "rights" since the 60's, we have thrown out our moral compass. What used to govern our conduct internally has been removed, so we must govern that conduct externally with laws and governments. The problem is that these laws were never able, or designed to regulate what our consciences used to. Thus, we have all these debates that should never even come to be. Why do we insist on preaching the gospel of free, casual sex (in movies and other "political correct" outlets), and then wonder why we have problems of AIDS, illegitimacy, and pregnancy?? Sex, btw, is a privilege for a man and wife to enjoy, not a RIGHT. And it is certainly not an unalienable right.

Finally, let me express my anger over the audacity we as Americans displayed after 9/11 asking God to bless America. No, I am not saying we deserved 9/11 at all-- it was the work of evil. Only in a few churches did you hear the need for a national American repentance. We acted as if we have done nothing wrong. Unfortunately, our national consciousness is stained by abortion, euthaniasia, all forms of sexual deviance, and materialism. I believe we can and ought to ask God for His blessing, but only after we have asked His forgiveness first-- for our many national sins, and for our attitude of entitlement. None of us has even been promised another day to live-- yet we go on and on about what the Gov't owes us. Sound familiar, Randall Robinson? (author of The Debt: what America owes blacks; it's the reparations manifesto).

This nation is the greatest ever because of God's divine blessing upon it. When we shut out the source of that prosperity, is it any wonder where we will end up?

Democrat vs. Republican misses the point. They are both political creatures interested in self-preservation (expansion of gov't). I am conservative because I believe as our Founders did, and that's why I have sworn to protect this Constitution, no matter how many sheeple don't know it or understand it.

I got the nomex underwear on, so flame away.

Although I beleive prostitution, adultry, drug abuse (alcohol is a drug too), murder, theivery and such have been around for thousands of years. New technology spreads the word within seconds and makes it seem more prevelant these days. Children were molested by uncles and youth ministers in the 50's. It was a hush hush situation then. Don't want to embarrass the church or family. After all it was her fault for playing on the playground in a dress and tempting the fine clergyman. There's a lot more that's simply coming to light now that was kept in the dark then.
