Fuel return cooler

I like what I read about Zerez G 05, and it is a HOAT coolant. Main question: Is it backwards compatable for a 2002 Cummins? I have heard about some head gasket/incompatible problems for OAT, but don't know if that applied to HOAT?

Blakers,

The new Organic Acid Technology (OAT) anti-freeze/coolants were not available in 1995, or at least not widely available. Your service and owners manuals for the 1995 truck specify coolant with Alugard. Try to find some of that today. You can still get it at NAPA, but even the Dodge coolant no longer mentions Alugard as an ingredient.

Loren

Hi All, was doing a search on anti-freeze for my '97 because as Loren said the manual specifies coolant with Alugard, which is harder to find these days.

It looks like this product [Valvoline MaxLife® Antifreeze/Coolant] might be compatible, as it does have Alugard:

Any opinions for use in the '97?
