I finally got around the installing the zoom ceramic button style clutch with zvt in my '03 ho 5600... ... . the install went much more quickly than i'd expected..... me and two friends had the new clutch installed in 3 hrs. flat... ... using a 4 post lift and trans jack... ... i was expecting more like a full 1/2 day... ... i run an edge ez on level one with smarty between level 3 and 5 normally and with 75k on the clock i could pretty much slip the clutch at will... ... we removed the clutch to find plenty of friction material but a severely burnt/scared flywheel..... and aparently a week pressure plate... ... . before the clutch install shifting had become somewhat rough... ... it started to feel like the gears would grab slightly when shifting... ... i'm assuming the clutch not disengaging was causing this... ... now with the new clutch shifts feel as smooth as when the truck was new... ... i did slip the clutch one time right after i installed it but i think i may have turned the power on before things were seated in... ... the clutch does seem to need a little heat to operate to the best of it's potential... ... . it does grab on takeoff especially in 2nd and it chatters quite a bit in neutral but i'm not sure someone who wasn't used to the way my truck normally sounds would notice it... ... ... now with 150 miles on it i have been able to slip the clutch at all and the truck absolutely hauls *****... ... . pedal feel is not much more than stock at idle but it does feel more crisp... ... the crazy thing is tho when running at higher rpms once the counter weights get to spinnin the pedal really firms up..... like above 2200rpm... ... . it's pretty awesome feeling... ... all in all i'm very happy with it and plan to really turn up the smarty and see what she'll do very soon
