Save yourself some money and get some used 3rd gen wheels on ebay and powdercoat them black. I get complements on mine all the time. They cost me $300 for all four wheels with powdercaoating. You can't beat the look or the price. Look in my readers rigs.

went with 20" racelines to make clearance for the thuren steering arms stockers would rub the thru-bolted arms

I think that both of them look good (the powder coated stockers and the racelines) but those racelines are bad A** rims... seeing those makes me want to change mine.

Those are some sharp-looking wheels! I like 'um!

The best prep you can do for powder is sand blast..... maybe bead blast for aluminum, but I have coated it all ways and it works good. Rims do tend to take the most beating of any thing on the truck, so if you have access to some type of blasting media that is what I would suggest...

The powder coating holds up very well. They are probably more susceptible to chipping than the other wheels but if you're careful when changing tires and rotating them you shouldn't have any problems. I'm on gravel roads all the time and mine still look great after the last time I had them powdercoated (about 2 yrs ago).



I would say to get the 3rd gen rims that are not polished. My powdercoater dips them into a special stripping liquid solution that completely strips them clean.



And you leave the center caps off on these, that's what makes the wheels look so good. I have convinced a few guys to try it out with their wheels and they love them. One guy did a gun metal powdercaoat that looks really good too.

Your rims look great. I would get some chrome lugnuts on them though because they really finish off the wheel when it's rolling.



I bet your rims/tires weren't cheap though...



I would rather allocate the big money to replace my tires occasionally

i do have chrome nuts on them its just a bad pic cause the truck is in the garage. the tires and rims together cost me abuot $2600. and actually i'd rather changer the rims before the tires cause there about a $100 cheaper. I've often wondered why the taller the rim and less side wall on the tire make the tires more expensive but i guess it's hard finding any 35" tire thats cheap
