New 6.4 Ford

Wow, that sucks for Ford!!! Sounds to me like they need a new diesel engine supplier. Or maybe they should start dropping DT466's in the new F series. :-laf

6.4 nightmare

Sounds like the cab has to come off too for major work. I pity the techs who have to try and flat rate a repair on these things.

Test drove on today for grins and giggles. 250 super cab, 3. 73 4x4. I was not impressed. Engine seems really peaky, especially for a diesel. Steering was very twitchy, and transmission shifted out of OD under slight throttle pressure on a very moderate uphill grade @ 60 mph. The interior was nice, but that's all I can really say positive about it. Whoever came up with ability to fit that mess of an engine under the hood deserves some type of engineering award.

finally saw one on the road today and damn that thing is hideous, it had some huge command center looking thing in the bed with a butt load of antennas on top, i think it said first response or something like that on the side
