I have read all the all threads I could find and I cant find find a simple answer to a question. Does the smarty for the 04. 5 cr do anything to the rev limiter. I hear alot people talk about how high their common rails rev and it confuses me,some claim 3500 plus rpms. My truck is one of the strongest trucks out there and I never been able to turn more than 3200-3300 rpms. I dont need the rpms for power, but i am quickly running out of rpm for the mph I am running at the track. SO DOES THE SMARTY RAISE THE REV LIMITER?

Thanks, RC

I don't think it does it directly but it does fuel more at rpm so you will get a few more rpm out of it.

I don't know that it actually raises the rpm limit. I have hit a little over 3500 on the dyno on mine before the Smarty. What the Smarty does do is fuel harder into the 3300+ rpm range on mine. Before the Smarty even with TST/EZ at about 2950 fueling would start backing off.

Dude, I just watched your vid, I got chub:-laf

I guess a better way to ask the question is,will the smarty allow you to run added rpms to gain more mph at the track?I have a speed eliminator that allows me to run past the 108-109 mph factory speed limiter. My problem now is when I approach the 125mph range(this is a guess) I hit the rev limiter which happens around 3200 rpms. Has anyone tried the smarty in this scenario?
