I have an 03 305 ho That has a long crank and or a no start condtion.

The truck is stock and has 70,000 on the clock.

It did have a ez box on it for a time.

I have checked the fuel presure and changed the lift pump.

I also changed the fca sol.

I scanned with a snap on scanner, only code was po 483 undocumented code

any input would be great

When it starts does it run normal?

I forgot to add If I kill the intake heaters and give it just a whisp of ether it fires wright up and runs and performs normal.

Also on the scanner when cranking the crank rpm is 195-200 rpm.

The fuel set is about 5600 and presure at cranking is about 850 on the scanner.

When you hit it with ether it fires up and fuel presure jumps wright up to normal

bad injector..... start the engine cold. let it run for 2-3 minutes while its running feel the exhaust manifold, what your looking for is a cooler or hotter port (right out of the head). thats your possible bad injector. mine did same thing as yours. found #1 cool to touch even after 10 minutes run time. cracked #1 fuel line and no fuel ran out. hence the loss of fuel system pressure and having to crank motor to fill up everything again. . GOOD LUCK !

Try this ,jump your truck with someone elses. Could be to low of voltage which causes the computer to fail.

many others including myself have had this same issue, i would say 99 percent a bad injector, and its not dumping fuel into the cylinder, the inj has a small check ball and the seat wears out primarily from poor filtration, you wont be able to diagnose which one it is unless you pull all six and have them put on a test stand, i believe what happens is it will leak rail pressure into the rear return line on the rear of the cylinder head and the cp-3 cant flow enough at cranking rpm to start the truck, in fact it probably isnt fueling at all when you are cranking, when you hit it with ether it bumps just fast enough to get enough rail press to start fueling, it probably runs fine once its started... i would look at it as a good sign to do a small inj upgrade  i learned the hard way and spent alot of money, also might be a good time for a fass with 2 micron filtration, i have worked on three trucks myself with this issue, two with only 50-60 thousand miles and one with 105,000 and all three turned out to be the same thing you are describing:) hope this info is helpful now if i can figure out how to stop wearing out tires, ball joints, u-joints, and snapping axles :-laf

I have good cranking voltage 195-200 rpm on the scan tool.

Somtimes when I crank it fuel presure is 850 or so then I crank it for 30 or40 sec. it slowly builds to 1500 the fires up.

I have an 03 so truck also, when I crank this one fuel presure goes up to 2000lbs with about two turns of the starter and fires wright up.

I cant read injector % but I can run an injector kill test but all injectors test normal when its running
i dont think you will be able to tell which inj it is because it wont be on the electrical side and more than likely not leaking at the tip or the truck would stumble and smoke a bit;)

Don't forget a leaking conector tube can give you the same thing... ... ... ... . excessive flow on the return is what you need to check for that isolate the source.
