Im gonna be changing my brake pads. Coming up on 40k. what have you used and how long have they lasted and how well do they stop? Are the factory replacements the same formula as what comes off the assembly line? Can I get anothe 40 out of them?

Are you ready for pads... . all my trucks have gone over 100K before needing pads..... my 04 pulling a work trailer was at 160K... .

I'm at 44K miles and there's no way I'm ready for pads yet. Considering how well the factory pads have worked for me, I think I'll stay with them unless something much better comes along.

I had to replace the fronts at about 36k along with the rotors, they were warped. I put the Napa Lifetime pads on. They are wearing well (about 44k) but squeak really bad. I won't put them back on when they do wear out. JR

The pads on my 95 went 65,000 plus and looked like they could have gone another 15,000, but since we were going on a long trip, I replaced them with original equipment. My 05 pads don't look like they have any wear on them, but when I do replace them, I'll get original pads.
