Can't find the tag on the front or rear axle... Can anyone confirm the stock axles on a 2005 G56 3500 dually 4X4 with tow package, built in January 05 (first with G56 transmission)? The maintenance manual indicates 5 different axles (Front: 9 1/4 AA; 9 1/4 AA EL; Rear: 10 1/2 AA; 10 1/2 AA EL; 11 1/2 AA). Just need to confirm this before getting fluids.

On that subject... Any recommendations for reasonably priced fluids/lub (ATF+4, 75W 140 or 75W 90). I don't need any Amsoil recommendations as I have looked at their site and know what they recommend. Don't want to start an oil war so please keep it to stuff that you use that is priced well... ;)

For 2005,

As you have posted, all trucks recieved the 9. 25 AAM. Only the power wagon got the EL (Electric Locker)

For the rear in 2005, the gas engine got the 10. 5 AAM with the Power Wagon again getting the EL.

For 2005 all diesels got the 11. 5 AAM.

That's what I thought I had, but I wasn't sure after looking at the manual (9 1/4 in the front and 11 1/2 in the back). Where did the old tags go that used to be bolted onto the axle differentials???

The old tags are now located in the glove compartment. I don't even think they show on the window sticker anymore.

To answer your original question, 75W-90 or 75W-110 if you tow a lot.
