I have been searching the Internet and TDR for installation instructions for a FASS setup for my 2004 CTD.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I did find one for a 2002. My main question is concerning the fuel line hookup from the FASS pump to the HPCR pump.

I would suppose that installation instructions would come with the system, but what is confusing me is the part # for the FASS is the same for 98. 5- 2004. 5 year models.

Anyone know where there is a decent write up for a 2004 3rd Gen hookup instruction? Maybe in a . PDF format?

I am one of these "do-it-yourself" people and would like to read further before purchasing.

Thanks

FASS= Fuel Air Seperation System (filters)

HPFP= High Performance Fuel Pump (no filters)

It is a common misconception, FASS is a model not a brand. ;)

I am pretty sure he wants the filters.

I know that, and you know that, but it is a common practice to call the FASS a FASS and the HPFP a FASS pump (just read some of the threads on TDR).

Just installed mine, installation was easy, except the aftermarket steps were in the way..... It installs directly into the injection pump and bypasses the factory lift pump and filter housing. Jus tmake sur eyou get the wiring right so you don't fry your ecm. Expensive mistake made has cost me over 3k. Had someone install it and they pulled the wiring from the injection pump instead of the lift pump, so far it's cost me a new injection pump and an ecm.

Wow! I'm glad I know the difference between a lift pump and and the injection pump.

I'll be installing a FASS soon!

Thanks again for all the information. Thanks to Bodie - read that last email I sent you.
