The relocate kit will cost about the same as a holley blue pusher pump $110, but won't supply the pressure of the holley. My brother got 20 psi idle & 15wot running the holley/ stock lp together. Thats what I get with my Fass 150.

Definitly upgrade his lift pump, Its cheap insurance for your vp44. If all hes looking for is a little more oomph, you coulld also check out a superchip, I ran one for a while and liked it till the bombing bug got me. its a 65 horse tuner, egts and boost wont go off the map with it, I had a hy9 turbo on my truck when I was running it and egts never went above 1300. thats pulling 8000 pounds. its a good little tuner if someone doesent want to upgrade anything else like trans and turbo.

After my third lp went out so did my VP. The dealer said there is a fix and installed a pusher pump in the tank. How does it compare. The bill set me back about 3500.

  The intank pump is not a good pump from what I've been reading... . supplies low fuel pressure from day #1. You could have had a Fass, Air Dog for alot less $$$

A guy i've met in my town from talking to him about his 2001 4x4 Auto QC LB loves the power of my truck. I think hes already got a bit of the bombing bug. In the winter, this truck plows, with a full 8ft salter, and in the summer, tows a dump trailer, as well as landscape equipment. On top of that, it is his daily driver. I've already talked him into gauges, what direction should i point him in for a box. Already put a BHAF on it, and explained to him as much as i can about general care and operation. He needs something fairly cheap, good power without torching the transmission first week, and serious reliability. What do you think???

i have the bully dog power pup 4in turbo back exhaust afe cold air intake the only reason i have bully dog is because i am waiting for somebody to come up with a for real 120 hp chip that dosent tap the wire ! if bosch wont warranty the pump after the wire has been taped guess what it aint a good idea. anyhow you can read up on that more here javascript:eek:l('http://www.bluechipdiesel.com/injectionpumpfailures.html'); it basically says if the pump is going to fail it will do it in the first while of operation i personally dont have another 1200. 00 buck laying around to replace the pump again and i dont wish to be in the other ten percent of unexplained failuers either. any way i tow on regular basis and i would definatley go with at least a torque converter upgrade and valve body upgrade at least that setup lasted my truck 177,000 miles without any trouble. i did however end up buying a full dtt with billet input and all the internal upgrades which is a great transmission i tow between 30,000 and 37,000 gvw. you probly wouldnt need to go that far but definatley a mag hy tech double deep pan transmission temp gauge and pyro and in the very near future vavle body upgrade and torque converter. i can tow on stage three and never get egts above 1,300
