Exhaust Brake

Are the 6. 7 engines in the 2500 & 3500's coming from the factory with the exhaust brake installed or is it an option added at the dealer? I am getting conflicting information searching the Internet. I would prefer it be factory installed and not dealer installed.

Actually,there is no exhaust brake on the 6. 7. The VG turbo can act as an exhaust brake, you pay extra for the software and the switch.

It is a no charge option which you do not have to choose. It is included, code NEN. I ordered 2-26.

I am waiting to see if my 2007. 5 will have the exhaust brake activated. I did not have the NEN sales code on my order. I was told the dealer added the program and switch. Of course, at an uknown cost at the time I was investigating the issue. Fred

I did see the 'NEN' Mfr. Code for the Exhaust Brake in the literature I found on the Internet at IntelliChoice. I will make sure I include it in the order request so there is no doubt.
