TDR discount?

Do all Dodge Dealers honor this Discount?

Dave Smith Motors and Dishman offer invoice, minus incentives, minus holdback(usually $1,000-$1300). You can call that last discount what you want. Most dealers(especially here in San Diego) can't touch those guys. Dave Smith does have an enormous stock of '07's on hand. You must get a Ca cert. vehicle.

I doubt most Dodge dealers have even heard of the TDR. It is an unofficial discount offered by a couple of savvy deep discounters who make their money the Sam Walton way. They sell thousands of trucks at small markups.

In other words they help keep the prices down for the middle income people and make vehicles affordable to the lower income people such as me. ;)

One of the local Dodge dealers (Lithia) had no clue who or what TDR was... asking me if I had a coupon for the $1,000 discount. The other dealer didn't question the $1,000 and did match the quote I got from Dishman but I felt their product knowledge was lacking, at the least the person I was working with anyway. They at first didn't want to honor the $3,000 rebate telling me it was only on the 5. 9's.

If and when I need some service/warranty work done I am going to be driving a while as the local Lithia shop won't see my truck, even if I have to pay extra to get it to another shop.

'TDR' discount or call it what you want, dealers have holdbacks to work with... get the best quote you can from someone you are comfortable working with.

I just bought a 3500 C&C 4X4 SLT with lots of extras for 42K after rebates, the sticker was 44K and the asking price was 48K. The best deal is the free oil changes for life when you pay for all the "B" maintenance when due. I have the same on my 04. 5 and love it until the diff service every 15K which I do every 20K and they still honor the free oil changes
