'98 12-valve 5-speed:
I had the diffusing lens on the little under-hood flood light off making some measurements of the bulb (still working) when I think I must have very briefly shorted between the end of the bulb and the little metal tilt switch in the light housing that switches on the light when the hood is raised. The light went out.
Then I noticed all the interior cab lights were out. Switch the ignition on and the radio does not work either. The engine starts and all other lights (dash, headlights, signals, power seat and windows, door locks, etc. ) seem to still be working. Just no interior lights, under hood light, or radio.
I've checked every fuse in the fuse block on the end of the dash (junction control block) and in the PDC at least twice (pulled and inspected with magnifying lens and flashlight. All are fine. Fuses 5 and 11 in the junction control block on the end of the dash seem to be the fuses for lights and radio, respectively, according to the big green service manual, and I've check them both at least 3 times. Even tried new fuses in their place. No luck.
Any ideas what might be wrong or what else to check?
Thanks,
-Jay
