lumber racks--who does 'em right?

Management Lessons.

It's a 1979 Mercury Cougar. Nice enough car, but, someone did a bunch of home wireing. The problem is, the lights stay on bright mode:(. He bought a new dimmer switch and put that on, to no avail. I have searched the wiring to see if I could find where maybe the wires had gotten hot enough to melt together. Couldn't find anything like that. I took the ground wires off to see if there was any corrosion, nope. I did pull the connection off of the light switch, and saw where one of the terminals had gotten hot, but didn't seem to hurt the switch any. I am at wits end on the issue:{ . Can anyone offer any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to any and all who respond. bwire

check the high beam switch if its on the floor, the wiring and the switch. they are probably corroded and shorting like all hell.

Can't help much, since I only bought it for the V8, but I had a '79 Lincoln Continental for about 5 mths. Could hide a lot of bodies in the trunk, if you wanted too. :-laf

The suggestions already given, would be where I would start.
