Can I Upgrade fass 150 pump to one with filters.

I have had a fass 150 stand alone pump for about a year with good luck but I have issues with the stock filter housing and want to eliminate it all together. My question is do I have to get a whole new Fass unit or is there an upgrade to add the filters to my exisiting Fass pump? Does it require different mounting brakets also?

We don’t offer a kit to do this. What we suggest is buying a new FASS and use only what you need to install. Then box up the HPFP and sell it to recoup some of your money. I would even look it over for you once you got it off the truck if you sent it in to me. Just ask you selling dealer to obtain a RMA before shipping it in.

I was going through paperwork today and found a warranty registration card that was supposed to be mailed in within 30 days... OOPS. I must have missed that one.



Will I still qualify for the 4 year warranty if I mail it in today it has been a year in a couple days. I bought it 4-6-06. It is working fine.



I have seen threads about the noisy ones but haven't read anything about it. Mine is noisy also worse when cold. What is the fix for this? Is there any other problems that I need to address for the serial # I have?

I can not honor your wnty extension. We give some leeway on the 30 days, but one year is way out of that range. We have this posted several times in the manual and such to relay the importance of sending in the paperwork.

Fuel is thicker when cold. Pump works harder to push the fuel so you will notice more noise. Main thing about your pump is to make sure your weep hole is pointed down. AND i assume it is because your pump has been working for a year.

You had a one year wnty that expired last week baised on my records. You can send in your paper work... but the only thing that will do is put your name and address on file with us.



If you send it in for the noise update... i check every pump for leaks and such and repair as needed.

Unless we get a copy of your invoice, how do we know when you bought your unit? SO we go by build date of the pump. But if the wnty paperwork is sent into us with a copy of the sales invoice, we go off when the unit was sold to the end customer.

Since you are considering a different pump anyhow let me suggest an AirDog. I have had mine on for 2 years and 140,000 miles. ZERO issues. And AirDog does not make noise. Mine is mounted in the front of the bed on driver's side. Zero noise, even though it is mounted much higher than designed which means it sucks the fuel from 2 feet below it. My guess is the reason AirDog does not make noise is because the pump housing is cnc machined whereas the FASS is an angle bracket with a clamp on it which would make it nearly impossible to align the pump correctly in the housing. The AirDog also uses 1/2" line all the way and was designed to work with the factory pick-up tube with no issues.

I encourage you to check out AirDog before purchasing anything. You will not be disappointed. The price was recently dropped to make it very competitive with FASS.

Got the RMA. Is it ok if it doesn't get shipped for a Week or two. I am in the middle of calving season and hate to be without it for now in case I need to haul a cow to vet. Its the only Roadworthy pickup I have.

On a plus note My calving season was the best ever. Just a few stragglers left to calve. Nicest calf crop we have ever had.
