There Kaleko's. They are like little vise grips that go through the rivet holes to hold the metal together till its time to rivet.

OK - those are the things that Jim and friends were talking about when we were modifying the floor pan in my '94 last weekend.

Man - those look slick as heck to use! That place has a lot of neat tools for doing tin work! Thanks for the info, guys.

Thanks,

Matt

If you look really close, in addition to the rivet clecos, i have a bunch of mini-clamp clecos. Look what is holding the back top edge of the lexan to the body by the roll cage. If you do any fab work, thes are indespensible. I get them all of the time on EBAY or from Eastwood.

Did you do all the fabrication in that neighborhood setting?

Die grinders at 2AM... :)

Matt
I try to shut the noise and welding flash off at 10PM. Then I do the quiet stuff...

I did get a formal complaint a couple years ago, from a neighbor, as their kids were afraid of the "lightning" coming out of my garage... the welding flashes...

Just the MAD SCIENTIST at work, I said... Hehe heh... Frankenstein's lab at work, trying to breath life into the monster.

Sweet... .

And it all gets built in your normal looking garage in a typical neighborhood. WOW!

Did you ever roll your last dragster out into the street to "heat up" the tires, just for fun? That would make for a great picture to hang on your wall. Little caption underneath that says "just heading to work for the day"

Not only do we warm it up, and do stall tests against the converter in the driveway, we have filled the entire block with black smoke during testing. The funnier part, is our 60' test track is in our Denver Cummins parking lot. We can launch the car, run 60' and then slam on the brakes to stop before hitting a public street. Fun and scary.

We will take photos next time to show "what not to do"...

We are kicking it around. The new blue and white matches our new t-shirts that are being printed up, so probably will do the new car the same. I will have the new t-shirts for sale soon on the web site, and at the races. It is pretty cool.
